Clinical supervision

Clinical supervision plays an important role in clinical work for psychologists, counsellors and psychological therapists. It is essential time, for discussing cases and gaining advice on client work that raises concerns for the practitioner.

Supervision sessions can be an invaluable aspect of clinician’s work in terms of reflecting on their own professional development.

My supervision clients use supervision sessions to practice and improve their therapeutic skills in areas such as active listening, risk assessing, and CBT Therapy for example socratic questioning and motivational interviewing skills.

I’m a qualified supervisor, having completed training (2010-11) in supervision for clinical psychologists from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at Kings College London.

In 2023 I completed a BPS-approved course in clinical supervision which gives eligibility to join the British Psychological Society’s Register of Applied Psychology Practice Clinical Supervisors (RAPPS).

Supervision sessions are £80 per hour during weekdays, or £90 per hour on Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesday evenings and Thursday evenings. The fee includes my Clinical Will service for the duration of our supervision sessions together.

In my therapy practice with my own clients, I predominantly use CBT, including 3rd wave approaches: Behavioural Family Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I can provide a free 15 minute phone consultation to answer questions.
